Jerry Anderson

Jeremiah “Jerry” Anderson, age 74, of Keysville, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at his residence with his family surrounding him. Jerry was born January 24, 1941 in Augusta to the late Herbert Lee and Fannie Magnolia Williams Anderson.He was a member of the Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Keysville and worked for the Graniteville Co. with 46 years of faithful service. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Louise Mitchum Anderson; his children, Cynthia (Gene) Hodges of Rome, GA., Gary McCoy of Marion, IN., Cryste (Shawn) Carroll of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Linda (Ricky) Tuttle of Easley, S.C. and Karen (Bennie) Chavous of Augusta, GA; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Debra Roberts of Augusta, GA.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Anderson; a son, Paul Threlkeld and his granddaughter, Lisa Marie McCoy. Family will receive friends Sunday 3 pm to 5 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886. Funeral Services will be Monday 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ron McMillian, officiating.Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Ricky Roberts, Denny Chavous, Michael Morrison, Michael Utley, Rodney Utley and Houston Mitchum.
