Janice Lee Mccarty

Mrs. Janice Arnold McCarty of McBean died on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Doctors Hospital following several months of declining health.She was 62 years old. The family will receive friends today, Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 peach Orchard Road.The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will follow at Hephzibah Vance Memorial Cemetery.Rev. Louis Pearce will officiate. Janice is survived by her husband of more than 13 years, William “Bill” Fuller of McBean; her son, Scott McCarty and his fiancée, Tosha Donaldson, of Martinez; her step-children, Nikki Hood of Belvedere, and Doug Hitt and his wife, Jangi, of Belvedere; her sisters, Donna Terwilliger and her husband, John, of Swainsboro, Billie Sue Shores of Jonesville, North Carolina, and Chris Hemric and her fiancée, Barry Byrd, of Jonesville; her brothers, Eddie Arnold and his wife, Tammy, and Tommy Arnold and his wife, Sharron, all of Booneville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends. Janice was a 1967 graduate of Swainsboro High School.She had attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Swainsboro.Janice enjoyed camping and boating.
