Janice Brown

Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughters, Sharon Chestnut and her husband, Lek, of Augusta, and Sandra Brittingham of Augusta; her son, Rev. Dr. Joseph T. Brown, of Sardis, Georgia; her sister, Dolly “Happy” Patterson and her husband, Marvin, of Coolidge, Georgia; her brother, Samuel Murphy and his wife, SueAnn, of Hampton, Georgia; her grandchildren, Shanon Brown, Joshua Brown, Christy Brown, Jonathan Chestnut, Jessica Brittingham, Meagan Brittingham, Morgan Brittingham, Caleb Brittingham, Aaron Chestnut, Jacob Brown, and Shaley Watson; her great-grandchildren, Brody Teston and Jacob B. Brown.Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown, in 1993, and by three children, Sara Holsonbake, John Brown, and Joel Brown. Mrs. Brown attended Whole Life Ministries in Augusta.She retired as a sergeant from the Augusta Police Department and Richmond County Sheriffs Department after more than thirty years of combined service.
