Mr.James Zeigler was born on January 26th, 1943 in Miami, Florida.He was the fifth child of Dan Zeigler and the late Janie Zeigler. At a very young age, he moved with his family to Sylvania, GA and it was there that he lived until he became a young adult. He attended the public schools in Sylvania and graduated from Central High School in 1962.After graduation, James joined the US Army where he valiantly served his country and received an honorable discharge in 1964.After leaving the military, James joined his family inNew York, where he resided for several years before moving back to Atlanta, GA and then on to Chicago, IL where he married and began his family. James worked for over 40 years as a long distance Truck Driver.With his outgoing personality, love of travel and his desire to see the world, his profession afforded him the opportunity to see all corners of the USA and gain a multitude of friends. He was employed as a Truck Driver until he began to have failing health and unfortunately had to retire from doing what he so much loved in 2006.James had previously relocated to Augusta, Georgia in 1992 where he would live until his sunset on October 28, 2008. James was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Zeigler and two siblings, William Zeigler and Sarah both ofNew York. He leaves to celebrate the joy of his life, three loving kids.They are Yoni Zeigler, James Zeigler, Jr. and Katherine-Hunter Lewis(Vincent),of Evans, GA. He leaves four adorable grandkids: QuentenZeigler, Quamani Zeigler, Quada Zeigler, Malcolm Lewisand his beloved father, Dan Zeigler, New York. His remaining brothers and sisters are: Bertha Mae Zeigler, Dacatur, GA; Mary (Cloi) Zeigler, Mamie Zeigler, Raymond Zeigler, Joe Zeigler andRev. Grady Zeigler(Lillian) all of New York. There is also a host of other family and friends. James was especially fond of his Church, Trinity CME where he really enjoyedthe midday Bible study classesand during the progression of his illness spent time with the many new friends at the HealingCenter.He also enjoyed his passions, traveling, auto racing, reading and all forms of sports. He had a giving heart and he showered the people he cared about with much love.But when all is said and done, his greatest love was the Lord. Obituary published by family.
