James "Rusty" Taylor

Hephzibah, Georgia Mr. James “Rusty” Taylor, of Hephzibah, entered into rest on Thursday, May 12, 2016.He was 51 years old. Mr. Taylor was born in Augusta, Georgia on June 18, 1964.He was a papermaker with Resolute Forest Products for 33 years. Mr. Taylor was of the Christian faith. He was a volunteer with the Belvedere Fire Department as a young man. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Emergency Response Team with Resolute Forest Products. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Claudia Taylor; his father and step mother, Richard Taylor and Ruth Martin Taylor; his children, Brandon and Amanda Carroll, Ryan Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Elizabeth Petty Henry, and Jacob Petty; Five Grandchildren, Gabrielle Carroll, Elijah Carroll, Maddison Hoffman, Isabelle Hoffman, and Abel Carroll; his sisters, Renee Taylor, Olivia Mills, Stephanie Taylor, and Erica Combahee; his uncle, John J. Scott; his aunts, Sheila Phillips, Darlene Lee, and Judy Wells.Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his mother, Judie Scott Taylor. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 3633 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA with Pastor Ray Farmer officiating.The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
