James "Michael" Sparks

Augusta, GA James “Michael” Sparks, age 62, of Augusta, GA., passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at his residence with his family surrounding him. Michael was born December 13, 1950, to James Aldon and Shirley Hill Sparks.He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and owned and operated his own concession stands at various carnivals and fairs. His is survived by his wife, Rebecca (May); his children, Chaela and Savannah Sparks; his 2 sisters, Linda Sparks of Summerfield, FL and Joy Hadley of Augusta, GA.; 1 brother, Gary Aldon Sparks of Augusta, GA. Family will receive friends Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10 am at the funeral home.Burial to follow in Westover Cemetery.
