James “Clifford”Seago Sergeant, R.C.S.D./ Electrician Augusta, GA – Clifford Seago went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Virginia “Jenny” Seago and the devoted father of two children, Renee Perry and Wade Seago, and a son-in-law, John Perry. He will be deeply missed by his survivors which include his sister, Connie Williams; four grandchildren that he loved dearly, Trey Perry, Natalie Chalker, Jenny Kay Perry, and Taylor Perry.He was also the proud great-grandfather of Carson Perry Chalker. Mr. Seago was a gentleman who was devoted to his family and his work. He was a sergeant for the Richmond County Sherriff’s Department, where he supervised the crossing guards of Richmond County as well as taxi cabs. He was also self-employed as an electrician for Clifford’s Electric. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.Mr. Seago will be greatly missed, but his life will be celebrated at his funeral at New Life Christian Center, 3336 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be his close friends; Tony Mundy, Tracy Carter, Tommy Usry, James Harris, Barry Smith, and Scott Gay.Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Webster and members of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department.Committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
