James P. Rogers

Augusta, GA. James P. Rogers, age 80, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at his residence with his family surrounding him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Julia Weeks Rogers.Mr. Rogers was employed by the Borden Dairy for over 33 years as a night supervisor and he also worked at Greenfield Industries for 8 years.He was an U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nell (Ellenburg), 2 sons, James P. Rogers, Jr. and Paul H. Rogers; 1 daughter, Joy Stone; 1 grandson, Adam Stone all of which reside in Augusta, GA.He is also survived by 1 sister, Elizabeth Davis of Wrens, GA. Family will receive friends Monday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 10 am at the funeral home with Rev. John Bartlett, officiating.Burial to follow in Westover Cemetery.
