James Robert Jennings, Jr Tennis Papa

Mr. James Robert Jennings, Jr. Retired CSX Railroad/ Tennis Papa Augusta, Ga. entered into rest July 1, 2011 at Doctors Hospital. Mr. James Robert Jennings, Jr., 87. Mr. Jennings a lifelong resident of Augusta was retired from CSX Railroad with 30 years of service. Graduated from Augusta Richmond Academy and attended Augusta College and University of Georgia. He was a long time tennis player and a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, James (Jimmy) R. Jennings, III (Brenda), Grovetown, Ga. and known as Tennis Papa to his 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is a daughter Gail Jennings Kub and a grandson Kenney Jennings. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday July 5, 2011 at 11:00 am at Westover Memorial Park. Mr. Todd Gay officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 9:00 am until time of
