James Martin James Martin Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Hephzibah, Georgia. The memorial service will be conducted on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.Elder Bruce James will officiate and full military honors will be rendered.The committal service will be conducted on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. James was born July 19, 1951, to Robert Martin Sr. and the late Norvella Ellington Martin. He was a veteran of The United States Army. James leaves behind to cherish fond memories; his wife, Marilyn A. Martin of Charleston, SC, father, Robert Martin Sr. of Miami, FL; three children: Toyera (Tyrone) Brown of Junction City, KS, James Martin Jr. of Augusta, GA, and Jamie (Thurman) Clemons of Savannah, GA; four brothers: Robert Martin Jr. of Houston, TX, Tommie Martin of San Antonio, TX, Johnny Martin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Henry Martin of Fredricksburg, VA; three grandchildren: Tyrone A. Brown , Tyreik D. Brown and Taijon R. Brown all of Junction City, KS; Mother-in-Law, Mildred G. Simmons of Charleston, SC, four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and devoted friends.
