James (Jw) Anderson

November 5, 1936 — July 18, 2021

James (JW) Anderson, 84, of Augusta GA, died peacefully in the last place he called home, Simple Blessings, Augusta, GA. on July 18th, 2021. JW was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Vietta Hall Anderson, and his stepdaughter, Deborah Stewart and granddaughter, Barbara Lovett. Although he had no children of his own, he was stepfather to Vicki (Bill)Tripp, Louis (Sandy) Hall & loving grandfather to Chris (Nancy) Griswold, Amy Byrd, Shane Griswold, Callie (Rodney) Brown Newsome, Clete Stewart, Tony Patrick, and many loving great grandchildren and extended family. JW spent his life as a Demolition expert. He was well known in the Augusta area for his hard work tearing down buildings. He was always known for his cheerful personality trying to make people laugh and his willingness to help anyone. He is probably trying to find some kind of Demolition work in Heaven! The family would like to thank Sarah Ellison & her staff at Simple Blessings for their love, support and care of JW, and to his Hospice nurse Jacqueline. Also a special thank you to Chaplin Hephzibah James with Helping Hands for her spiritual guidance, love and concern of JW and his family. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Andy at McNeill Funeral Home & Central Savannah River Crematoryfor being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time. Graveside services for the celebration of JW’s life will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11:00 am Thursday, July 22, 2021 where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Vietta, and be eternally with her in Heaven.
