Biography Mr. James W. McKenzie, III Retired U.S. Army Evans, Ga. entered into rest Sunday August 18, 2013 at Golden Living- Windermere. Mr. James (Jim) McKenzie, III husband of Mrs. Frances M. McKenzie. Jim was born in Beaumont, TX.He lived most of his life in the Augusta area. He was retired Instructor at Ft. Gordon. Retired from the U. S. Army where he served in Korea and Viet Nam. He was a member of American Legion Post 192 and a Mason where he was a member of John F. Davidson Lodge. Member of Martinez Baptist Church where he taughtSunday school, the D.H. Byce Sunday School Class. Graveside services with full Military Honors will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am at Kansas Veteran Cemetery Manhattan, KS. The family will receive friends at McNeill Funeral Home This evening (Tuesday) from 7:00-9:00 pm. Additional survivors include, two daughters, Christy L. Coy (Craig) Rutherfordton, NC, Lori A. McKenzie, Evans, Ga. Brother, Walter R. McKenzie (Rosemary) Junction City, KS, Grandson, James T. Wilkins, III (Tara), three great grandchildren, James Cole Wilkins, James Brock Wilkins & Karsyn Boysen.
