James Harold Hillis

James Harold Hillis 83, beloved husband of the late Betty Ford Hillis entered into rest on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Doctor’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3PM Saturday April 15, 1017 in the chapel of Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detachment of Fort Gordon.Survivors include his sons James H. Hillis, Jr. and Roy D. Hillis; daughters Druann Hillis and Angela D. Smith’ ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour on Saturday.
