Mr. James L. Henthorn Mr. James L. Henthorn, of Augusta, died on Monday, July 26, 2010.He was 53 years old. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Rev. Oscar Whiteside will officiate. Mr. Henthorn is survived by his children, James M. Henthorn and Danielle M. Henthorn of Augusta; his mother, Joyce A. Henthorn of Augusta; his brother, Wade A. Henthorn and his wife, Katie, of Harlem; his uncle, Tom Warning and his wife, Monica, of Hephzibah, along with several other aunts and uncles; his nieces and nephews, Lorin Sette, Tony Henthorn, Amanda Lawrence and her husband Tim, and Matthew Henthorn;his best friend, Mark Patterson and his wife, Lisa, of Augusta.Mr. Henthorn was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Henthorn, in 1996, and his brother, Paul Alan Henthorn, in 2007. Mr. Henthorn was a heavy equipment operator with the Richmond County Roads and Bridges Department for 15 years.He was a member of the NRA, an avid hunter, and arrowhead collector.
