McBean, Georgia Mr. James Clinton Boynton Jr., a resident of McBean, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Medical College of Georgia.He was 67 years old. The family will receive friends at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, on Tuesday (Today), December 9, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with committal services to follow in the church cemetery.Pastor Oscar Barrow will officiate. Mr. Boynton is survived by his son, Wallace Boynton and his wife, Sherry, of Waynesboro; his daughters, Elaine Rogers and her husband, Billy, of McBean, Amy Edmonds and her husband, Leon, of McBean, and Kathie Delrie and her husband, Joe, of Martinez; his sister, Lorie Williams of McBean; nine grandchildren, Clint, Wayne, Crystal, Mandy, Summer, Bobby, Margie, Michelle, and Becky; twelve great-grandchildren.Mr. Boynton was preceded in death by his wife, Harriett Boynton in 2002; his parents, Clint and Edith Boynton. Mr. Boynton was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.He retired, after more than 40 years, from King Mill.Mr. Boynton loved his retirement, and enjoyed watching all of Georgia’s sports teams: Bulldogs, Falcons, and Braves. Pallbearers are Clint Rogers, Wayne Rogers, Bobby Williams, John Williams, Phillip Arrington, Eric Malin, and Thomas Palmer.
