Jack Wayne Dalton, 83, of Jackson, SC, passed away on December 14, 2023. He was born on December 5, 1940. Jack was a humble servant who will be deeply missed by his loved ones. Jack was a devoted husband to Darlene Dalton and a loving father and father-in-law to his three children and their spouses, Eric and Ashley Dalton, Bryon and Sandy Dalton, and Melanie and Giovanni Mungin. He cherished his seven grandchildren, Christian Dalton, Tori Dalton, Erin Dalton, Jack Dalton, Jordan Dalton, Maurina Dalton, and Laurel Grace Dalton. Jack was a master woodworker who generously shared his talents by creating toys, boxes, and other items for children in the hospital. His dedication to helping others was truly admirable. In addition to his passion for woodworking, Jack had a love for motorcycles and all things mechanical. He liked to spend his time teaching others how to work with their hands and fix things. Jack served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1978, achieving the rank of ASCS(AW) (E-8) before retiring. His commitment and service to his country were commendable. He spent two tours in Viet Nam. After his military service, Jack had a successful career as a startup engineer with Bechtel Corporation from 1978 to 2005. He retired from Bechtel Savannah River, Inc. He made significant contributions during his time before retiring. Jack pursued higher education and earned a Master's degree in Human Resources from Nova Southeastern University. The funeral services for Jack Wayne Dalton will be handled by McNiell Funeral Home in Augusta, GA. The details of the funeral arrangements will be shared by the family. A celebration of life is being scheduled for early March 2024. Jack's memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.
