Howard (Woody) Delt Woodring

Howard Delt Woodring, 85, passed away on October 11th, 2020. He retired from the United States Air force in 1972. He was predeceased by his sons, Howard Woodring Jr., Nicholus Anthony Woodring, Grandson, Gabrial Sermons, brother, Gerald Hipple, and sister, Joan Pennell. Howard was a power lifter for 13 years, retiring from lifting at the age of 65. He won 5 National Championships and 2 World Championships. Howard worked at Auto Zone from 1999 to 2020 he loved his job and was a hard worker.He was survived by six children, Michael Woodring (Kim), Virginia Fulmer (Clint), Peggy Thomasson (Rusty), and Caterina Jordan (Ben), Shari McIntosh (Cody), Melissa Sermons, and several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He will be cremated at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation service. There will be no funeral service, but family and friends will be having a small graveside service with militaryhonors on Saturday, October 24th, 2020, at 1:00pm, atPineview Memorial Gardensin North Augusta.
