Herman E. Kitchens

Herman E. Kitchens 88, entered into rest on Sunday November 25, 2018 in Remlap, Alabama. Mr. Kitchens served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Lily Tulip for many years, he later retired from Walmart. He was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church for 32 years where he served as song director and deacon. He loved working in the church and cherished praising the lord. His hobbies were gardening and music.Preceded death by Mrs. Dorothy Kitchens his spouse of 52 years. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday November 30, 2018 at Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. Interment will be following Mt Olive Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his spouse Betty Townsend Kitchens; daughter and son in-law Diane and Alvin Lee; sons and daughters in-law Charles E. Kitchens, Tony Kitchens, Mike and Judy Kitchens, Randy and Debbie Kitchens; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. This family will receive friends from 10am until service time on Friday morning at the funeral home.
