Helen I. Niven

Mrs Helen I. Niven , 86, went home to be with her Savior on August 22, 2021. She was born in New Jersey in 1934, into a large family . She met her husband “Dick” at a barn dance were they “danced the night away”. They became engaged on Valentine’s Day 1956 & were married 6 months later . They celebrated 63 years of marriage. They moved to Augusta in 1979. Helen enjoyed camping with her family , being a den mother with the Cub Scouts, yard work, & tending her pool. She was actively involved in her church. She loved to talk to people about Jesus. She loved dogs & had several dogs that she adored over her lifetime. She is predeceased by her husband Richard & son Richard Jr. Surviving are her daughter Irene Niven, Robert Niven (Karen), granddaughters Katherine Niven Bock (Jaron) & Racheal Niven. A graveside service will be held at a later time .
