Mrs. Hannelore K. Tranum Mrs. Hannelore K. Tranum, 77, of Country Place Drive, entered into rest on Friday, April 20, 2012 at University Hospital. The memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. Rev. Larry Harmon will officiate. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Richard K. Tranum Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, Tommy E. Tranum, Stuart L. Tranum, and his wife, Gaye, Carl W. “Duke” Tranum, and his wife, Tia, Karen A. Hammett, and her husband, Rudy; her brother, Helmut Kuehn; her special adopted daughter, Deborah Aldrich, and her husband, Tim; Michelle Newman and her husband Roy; fourteen grandchildren, Lindsey, Dallas, Tristan, Samantha, Taylor T., Amanda, Brandon, Taylor H., Michael, Lacie, Bailey, Rigg, Ty, Macee; and three great grandchildren, Ansley, James, and Dayson.She was preceded in death by her husband SFC Richard K. Tranum Sr. in 2009. Mrs. Tranum was born on November 9, 1934 in Berlin, Germany to the late Erich Kuehn and Gertrud E. Kuehn. She was a lifetime member and past president of the VFW Post 649 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Ladies Bowling 225 Club.
