Gwen Ketcham

Gwen Ketcham, beloved wife of Dr. David Ketcham, went to be with her Lord on August 9, 2023. She was the daughter of Rev. Derrick and Dorcas Hillary who were missionaries in India and Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). She was born in Vernon, British Columbia Canada and spent her younger years overseas. When she returned to the States she attended Wheaton College in Illinois where she met her future husband, David. After they were married on June 5, 1955, she accompanied her husband to Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mexico, California, and finally to Aiken where her husband worked at the Savannah River Site. She had three children: Karen Harper, Dr. Jeff Ketcham, and Rev. Derek Ketcham. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved the Lord with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by her family but now is in heaven enjoying her eternal home. A memorial service will be held at Grace Church in Aiken at a future date.
