Life Legacy Mr. “Shady Grady” A. Funderburk Ret. U.S Marines Appling, Ga. entered into rest August 31, 2010 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta. Mr. “Shady Grady”A. Funerrburk, 66, Husband of Mrs. Emma T. Funderburk. Mr. Funderburk a native of Atlanta, Ga. lived most of his life in Atlanta ,Toccoa andin Appling, Ga. . He was a retired SSGTU.S. Marines where he served during the Vietnam Conflict. Additional survivors include one daughter: Marie Jackson (Tony), NC, One step daughter: Sandra Stamey, Dearing, Ga. Four step sons: Paul Anderson (Jessica), Augusta, Ga. Edward Holton (Patricia), Dawsonville, Ga., Fred Anderson, Baker, FL, Sam Anderson, Dearing, Ga. One brother: Dennis Funderburk, College Park, Ga., Two sisters: Georgia Segears(Charles) Statham, Ga. Glinda Weaver (Ronald), LA Four grandchildren Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 am from Harlem Memorial Cemetery Rev. Victor Jason officiating. Full military honors will be accorded at the graveside. Family and friends are requested to assemble at the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to McNeill Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm.
