Ms. Gloria Ann Williams Mills Augusta, GA – Ms. Gloria Ann Williams Mills of Mike Padgett Highway, Augusta, died on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at University Hospital.She was 56 years old. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Homes, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 4:00 pm at the United House of Prayer for All People, 1230 Nellieville Road, Augusta, 30901.Burial will follow the service at Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.Apostle Marion Hill will officiate. Ms. Mills is survived by her daughter; Lashonda M. Mills and her fiancée Charlie Curry of Augusta; her sons, Lorenzo M. Mills and his wife Natasha of Hinesville, Georgia, Mandrell Mills of Newport News, Virginia, Perry Mills Jr. of Augusta; brothers, John L. Williams of Augusta, Willy Earl Williams and his wife, Hattie Mae Williams of Cobbtown, Georgia, J.L. Williams of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Amelia Lanier of Metter, Georgia, Mary Faye Lanier of Savannah, Georgia, Carolyn Dempsey of South Bend, Indiana; eight grandchildren; her close friend, Claude Brown of Columbus, Georgia; family friends, Elisa, Betty,Rosemary Thomas, and Perry Mills Sr.She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Pernell Williams. Ms. Mills joined The United House of Prayer for All People at an early age.She had been active in the McCullough Nurses and the Bailey Heavenly Lights.She was a prayer warrior who believed in praising God.She was employed by Cross Creek High School.Gloria was loved by many who will miss her deeply but have her memories to cherish.
