Gladys Faglier Coulter 81, wife of the late James H. Coulter passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after an extended illness on July 12, 2023. She was born in Avera GA She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirmet and Jane (Parrish) Faglier, her son Timothy (Smokey) Rollins, her daughter Tonya R. Hood, her granddaughter Christina Rollins, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Tammy Johnson of Abingdon, VA, Terrie (Jon) Webber of North Augusta, SC, Tommy Rollins of North Augusta SC, her sisters Mary Todd of North Augusta, SC, Frances (McArthur) James of Hephzibah, GA, and daughter-in-law Jeanette Rollins of Hephzibah, GA. She had 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly. She loved to crochet, make yo-yo bags, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She always had a book and prize for each one when they came to visit. During her career as a resident manager for both Blanchard & Calhoun and Plaza Terrace apartments, she never met a stranger and treated all as family. She also worked tirelessly as the Co-Owner of TC Management alongside the late Dr. George Thurmond. The family would like to acknowledge and thank her sister, Mary Todd, who spent many days with their mother during her extended illness. We would also like to thank the staff at MSA Hospice and Comfort Keepers for the wonderful care given to our mother during her illness. A celebration of life will be held at 3pm, Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Immanuel Baptist Church (615 Old Edgefield Rd, North Augusta, SC). She will be laid in eternal rest beside her beloved husband in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
