George Luis Rodriquez

George Luis Rodriguez, 67, of Augusta, passed away Sunday November 27, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital after a long battle with leukemia. Funeral services will be held Friday December 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home with interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park. A native of Puerto Rico, Mr. Rodriguez spent his teen years in Chicago, graduating from High School there. He enrolled in the United States Army, retiring after 22 years. After retirement, he was employed at Gracewood State School and Hospital for over 10 years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mariana; daughters, Cynthia R. Coleman and Melissa Rodriguez Morgan; a son Jorge Luis Rodriguez; grandchildren, Veronica Rodriguez, Jacob Adams, Sarah Adams, Jahnexi Morgan, Gage Rodriguez, and Yahmadi Morgan. The family will receive friends Thursday December 1, 2016 form 6:00 – 8:00 at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Ga.
