George Jackson "Jack" Cosnahan

October 8, 1933 — March 5, 2015

Mr. George Jackson “Jack” Cosnahan, 81, of Augusta, GA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Augusta, he was the son of the late John and Mary Skinner Cosnahan. He was a retired mechanic from Borden’s Dairy and a devoted member of The Sanctuary of Augusta.Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing cars. He was inducted to the Augusta National Hall of Fame. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Delores Cosnahan, brothers, and sisters.Jack is survived by his son, Larry (Ann) Cosnahan, Guyton, GA, daughters, Kimberly (Allen) Buckner, Augusta, GA, Terry (Tim) Roberts, Rincon, GA, grandchildren, Albert Cosnahan, Amber Gary, and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 5-7pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta. Funeral services will be held on Monday. March 9, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Sanctuary of Augusta, 4584 Cox Rd, Evans, GA, 30809.
