George Edward Braswell

Blythe, GA George E. Braswell, Sr., age 80, of Blythe, GA., passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Thelma Yarbrough Braswell; 2 brothers, James and Johnny Braswell and 1 sister, Joann Welcker. He served in the US Navy and was a self-employed electrical contractor; a member of the IBEW Local 11. He is survived by his wife, Edna Baugh Braswell; 5 children, Joan (Charles) Hattaway; Eddie (Deborah) Braswell, Wayne (Teresa) Wallace; Skip (Ann) Braswell and Amy (Bubba) Clements; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Annette Braswell. Family will receive friends Wednesday 11 am to 12 Noon at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd. HWY 25, Augusta, GA., 30906, with a Memorial service to follow at 12 Noon with Pastor Matthew Pierson, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Augusta Wounded Warriors Project. Central Savannah River Crematory entrusted with arrangement.
