George Franklin Blackston

George Franklin Blackston Augusta, GA. Mr. George Franklin Blackston, husbandof the late Bobbie Voyles Blackston., entered into rest at his home on Sunday, October 4th, 2015. Mr. Blackston was a native of Augusta, where he worked in construction and was a member of New Hope Worship Center. He was also a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Blackston is survived by his companion, Faye Martin; sons, Jeff, Frank, and Peter Blackston; daughters, Victoria Bittenkofer, Martha Blackston, Barbara Maines,Angela Waldorf, and Susanne Keller; sister, Josephine Ayers; several grandchildren, and his baby dog, Velkro. A graveside service will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Monday, October 12th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with Chaplain Jason Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
