Geneva Dye

Hephzibah, GA. Geneva Dye, age 82, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Brentwood Nursing Facility in Waynesboro, GA. She was born in Augusta, GA., on June 1, 1933, to the late Jack and Mattie Reese Widener.She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Peter Paul Dye.Geneva was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Blythe, where she was baptized several years ago.She was a dog lover, favoring the poodles.Just sitting in her chair, looking out the window and watching the birds, was just one thing she loved to do.Her home was spotless.She took great care in everything that she did.She loved her family and loved her friends, especially Christine Gray. She is survived by a host of family, friends, nieces, nephews.Everyone who came into contact with her, loved her smile and laughter. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 26, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum at 3 pm with Pastor Albert F. Halford, Faith Baptist Church, officiating.Following the services, she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband and they will be reunited again in harmony.
