Eva Jean Calton

Eva Jean Calton, daughter of the late Robert and Patty Bosdell, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at the age of 76. The family will receive friends Tuesday 12 pm to 2 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, 30906, with graveside services to follow at 2:30 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Eva Jean lived most of her life in the Augusta area and was a pipefitter by trade. Eva Jean loved working with her hands and enjoyed working outdoors in her gardens, where she loved planting vegetables and was so proud of her roses.Eva Jean had a strong will and a loving heart and will be missed by all that knew her. Eva Jean was preceded in death by husband, Clarence “Red” Calton; a daughter, Gracie Jackson Bowen; a grandson, Joshua Wayne Boyd and her best friend and sister, Myrtle Witt. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Boyd of Augusta; Teresa Williams of Fitzgerald; Diana (Rick) Bryan of Hephzibah; son, Forest “Bo” Jackson of Augusta; 8 grandchildren; April Boyd, Terri Wise, Kevin Bryan, Frank Williams, Scott Williams, Jessica Jackson, Brandon Jackson and Adam Bowen; 6 great grandchildren and 3 brothers, Bud (Viealetta)Bosdell of Evans, Jimmy (Connie) Bosdell of Dearing and Roy (Carolyn) Bosdell of Grovetown. The family wishes to thank April Boyd for all the love and care she provided to Eva Jean.
