Ernest Del Gordon

Ernest (Del) Gordon died April 19, 2024, following a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Ida L. Gordon of Augusta and his children June Moretti, Robert Gordon, and three stepdaughters, Wanda King, Karen Hannon, and Sharon Svetlak. The extended family also included 5 grandchildren Levi, Caleb, Brandon, Evan, and Nickolas and 6 great grandchildren. Dale proudly served our country and retired from the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 649 and a member of the American Legion 178.He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His favorite pastime was fishing and hunting. He was loved by his family and everyone who knew him. Whenever you asked him how he was doing, you would always get the same reply……”Fair to Partly Cloudy!”, and a smile that would brighten up anyone’s day.
