Emily Keel Nowell

Mrs. Emily Keel Nowell, 77 of Augusta, Georgia entered into rest December 7, 2023. Emmie, known and loved by her family and friends, was born December 12, 1945, to James and Melba Keel in Aiken, SC. Emmie is survived by her husband Lee Nowell, daughter Marnie Lewis (Sean) of North Carolina and son, Brandon Loper (Chelsey) of South Carolina. Her grandchildren, Cameron Loper, Zach Cox, Sean Lewis, Evan Lewis, Clara Loper and Seaburn Loper. Great granddaughter Rachael Cox. Daughter in law, Jan Loper of Idaho. Her Brother James Arley Keel (Kaye) of South Carolina. Gibbs, her beloved dog. She graduated from LBC high school in 1964. She had a long career in banking, becoming one of the original employees of Georgia Bank and Trust Company where she retired in 2016. Emmie was proceeded in death by her parents and her son, Cameron “Cam” Keel Loper. Emmie will be missed greatly; her beautiful smile will shine forever. A memorial will be held at a later date.
