Ellen E. Gram

Ellen Estelle Best Gram, 74, entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 30, 2018. She passed away in her daughter’s home with her family by her side. She was born on August 19, 1943 to the late Captain George P. Best, US Army (Ret.) and Estelle Best. She was born in Augusta, GA but was a resident of North Augusta, SC for most of her adult life. She was a master gardener who loved flowers and cherished all of God’s creation. She deposited seeds of love into a multitude of friends, family and all who knew her. Whether people knew her as Mama, Meme, Aunt Ellen, Sister or Miss Ellie, her impact in their lives was the same. She continually encouraged those around her to “Always remember who you are” and to “Let go and let God.” Her life will forever be cherished by her children, Michael E. Gram and his wife Whitney of Martinez, Tamryn K. Arenas and her husband Jorge of Grovetown and Deanna L. Crowe of Evans, GA; her two brothers and sisters-in-law Thomas “Shorty” and Peggy Best, North Augusta, SC, Ronnie and Suzanne (Sam) Best, Hiawassee, GA; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at McNeill Funeral Home (109 Shaw Street, Martinez, GA 30907) on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 5:30 PM.
