Ella Mae R. Cheek

Augusta, GA Ella Mae R. Cheek, age 82, of Augusta, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her residence. She was born October 22, 1931 to the late James Otis and Essie Loretta Barron Rollison.She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy O. Cheek, Sr.;one son, Guy O. Cheek, Jr. and 2 brothers, Alfred and Robert Rollison. She is survived by her son, Phil (Jamie) Cheek of Martinez; 2 sisters, Betty Martin of Augusta and Rose Durst of Augusta; 3 brothers, Marvin Rollison of Colorado, Terry Rollison of Virginia and Jessie Rollison of Waynesboro; 5 grandchildren, Steven Cheek, Ryan Cheek, Brandon Cheek, Donald Cheek and Jadi Cheek; 6 great grandchildren, Rylan, Alex, Addison, Samantha, Matthew and Madison. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 pm to 3 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886 with Memorial Services to follow at 3 pm with Rev. Bobby Winkler, officiating. Burial will be in Westover Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made in Ella’s honor to Southgate Baptist Church.
