Elizabeth Smith Youngblood, age 91, wife of the late W. Lewis Youngblood, entered into rest Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her residence. She is finally able to hold her loving baby, Kenneth again. Elizabeth, a native of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, lived most of her life in the Augusta area where she worked for MCG and was a homemaker. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and a dedicated Christian Church worker for over sixty years. Survivors include her sons, Rodney Youngblood (Eleanor), Keith Youngblood (Marina), daughter, Teresa Borum (Jim), brother, Grady Smith (Pat), sister Arlene Phillips, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded death by her parents, five brothers and one sister. A special thanks to her care givers at MSA Hospice and Sandy Bagwell. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Harvest Pointe Fellowship Church with Reverend William F. (Bill) Harrell officiating, burial to follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 am until time of service. Pallbearers will be Jeremy and Chase Youngblood, David Phillips, Ayden Youngblood, Josh Brodhecker and Cole Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be Emory Sayer Sunday School Class. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
