Mrs. Elizabeth (Beth) Wheeler Homemaker Hephzibah, Ga. Mrs. Elizabeth (Beth) Park Wheeler, wife of 48 years to James (Jimmy) R. Wheeler, Jr. passed away December 12, 2012. At Doctors Hospital, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Wheeler was born on Jan. 2, 1948 in Fulton, N.Y. to the late Lt. Col. (Ret) Edward Lawrence and Elizabeth Mehegan Park. She attendee Tubman Jr. High School, Richmond Academy and was homemaker. She was a past president of the South Augusta Woman's Club where she was instrumental in organizing the Miss Forestry Pageant and scheduling holiday meals for Ronald McDonald house, and the USO. She was a previous member of the Precious Moments Collectors Club. Mrs. Wheeler was of the Catholic faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael Wheeler and his wife Carol, McBean, Ga., daughter, Laura Efird and her husband David, Little Mountain, S.C., four grandchildren, Rebecca and Cory Efird and Joseph and Nikki Wheeler; a brother and sister in law Ed and Mary Park, Seminole, Fla; a sister and brother in law Patty and Pete May and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her brother, William (Billy) Joseph Park. Burial will be private.
