Edward William Gahm

Mr. Edward William Gahm, 86, of Oakridge Drive, Martinez, Georgia , born March 9, 1930 in Darlington, Wisconsin, entered into rest Friday, March 3, 2017. Mr. Gahm has lived in Georgia since 1978 and was a former resident of Fairbury, Illinois and the son of the late Mary Schwartz Nelson and the late Ray Blackbourne. He was retired from Airco Industrial Gases, Augusta, Ga. and was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife, Nancy Taylor Gahm; sons, John Gahm, Saunimen, Illinois, Bill Gahm (Debra) Hebron, Indiana, Alan Campbell (Beth) Athens, Ga, daughters, LuAnn Freese (Jerry) New Castle, Virginia, Laurie Baker (Mike) Fairbury, Illinois, Aurora Hubbard (Glenn) Martinez, Ga; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, David Gahm, and two sisters, Marlene Moore and Evelyn Godfrey (Walter). A private memorial for immediate family will be held at 1 o'clock p.m., Saturday, March 11th at McNeill Funeral Home, Martinez, Ga with Chaplain Glenda Gunn officiating.
