Hephzibah, GA. Edward D. Foster, Sr., age 79, of Hephzibah, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at Doctors Hospital. He was born February 15, 1936 in Honoraville, AL, to the late Colonel Bricken and Eloise Sims Foster.He retired from the U. S. Army as a First Sergeant, having served in the Vietnam War earning 4 Bronze Stars.He was owner and operator of his insurance company. He is survived by his wife, Viola Fonville Foster; children, Bobby (Donna) Young of Augusta, Keith Foster of Greenville, AL, Edward Foster, Jr. of LA, Mark Foster of Hinesville, GA., Eva Sorley of N.C., Heidi Griffis of Hinesville, GA., Linda Burns of Hinesville, GA., and Lynn Hamilton of AL; 1 sister, Edna Clements of Dothan, AL., a special grandson, Austin Young.He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886. Prayer Services will be Wednesday 11 am at the funeral home chapel.Burial to follow in Georgia Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Glenville, GA., with Full Military Honors.
