Edward Scott Degutes

Edward Scott DeGutes of Appling, Georgia entered into rest on October 24, 2023 after a prolonged hospital stay. He passed away from complications of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linda Joan Schaub DeGutes and Mathew John DeGutes. Ed was born in Augusta, Georgia. He was an HVAC Technician until his hospitalization in late September. He enjoyed the challenge of trouble shooting problems that he encountered doing Commercial HVAC repair. He enjoyed time with family and his partner Mike Horne along with the many farm animals that they owned together. He also enjoyed long rides on his motorcycle. He achieved a bucket list visit to the sound set for the series of the Starship Enterprise bridge in Kingsland, Georgia prior to his death. Ed will be greatly missed by his partner Mike and his sisters, Jeanne Haid (and Family), Barbara Nixon (and Family), Leslie Nation (and Family). A memorial service will be closed to family members only in this time of grief. We would like to express thanks to all those who have sent prayers of support and healing during this difficult time.
