Edward N. Copeland

Mr. Edward “Dahee” N. Copeland, of Augusta, died on Saturday, November 12, 2010.He was 80 years old. Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife of more than 52 years, Hattie Utley Copeland; his children, Lynn Copeland, Dennis Edward Copeland, Lisa Doyle, David Copeland, and Dwain Copeland, all of Augusta; his grandchildren, Memori, Alex, Hunter, Houston, and Alexis; his sisters, Inez Clark, of Augusta, and Vermon Stanley, of Tacoma, Washington; his brother, Robert Copeland, of Myrtle Beach.He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Bertha Hall Copeland, and by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Copeland retired from Gracewood State School and worked as a projectionist at several area theaters. Mr. Edward “Dahee” N. The family will receive friends today, Monday November 15, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will follow at Hephzibah-Vance Memorial Cemetery.Rev. Robert Daughtry will officiate.
