Biography Mr. EdkerW. Smith Ret. U.S. Army Augusta, Ga. entered into rest June 4, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Edker W. Smith. Mr. Smith a native of Huddy, KY and lived a total of 30 years in Augusta. He was retired from theU.S. Army where he was in the WWII and Korean Conflict. He was a Jehovah Witness. A private service will be held at a later date. Survivors include five sons, Terrance Smith (Teresa) Deland, FL., Jonathan Smith (Renee) Inman, SC., Jason Smith (Lorrie) Atlanta, Ga., James Smith, Louisa, KY., Troy Smith, Augusta, Ga. Three daughters, Sarah Slone(James) Pikeville, KY., April Smith, Augusta, Ga., Norma Wheeler, Sevierville, TN. Three brothers, Benny Smith, Georgia,Layton Smith, Alabama. Robert Smith, Jr., KY. Two sisters, Oliva Perkins, OH., Pluma Hunter, Deland, Fl. Twenty four grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. One great great grandchild.
