Dr. Ron E. Owens

Dr. Ronald Edwin Owenswas born in Stuttgart, Germany on February 24,1959 and passed away on October 20, 2017. He is survived by his wife Allison Walters Owens (Alamo GA) and two sons Ronald Edwin Owens ll (Augusta GA) And Joseph Murray Owens (Augusta GA) One stepson Cody Lloyd Matthew Walters (Andrea) Wagner S.C. One stepdaughter Alyssa Mary-Neely Walters (Alamo, GA) Two step grandsons Slade Shafer and Hunter Shafer (Wagner, SC) and two granddaughters Natalia Rosalyn Carlson (Virginia Beach, VA) and Korie Mae Walters (Wagner, SC) He also leaves one sister Julia Owens Tedesco (Augusta,GA), and one brother Chuck Owens (Augusta, GA) he also leaves a biological sister Rebecca Blair Rankin and two brothers Charles Blair and Ray Blair. Dr. Owens was a past president of the Augusta Rose Society and a past president of the rotary club. He was a Cub Scout Master and Augusta Rugby Coach. Dr. Owens was a graduate of West side high school, Augusta College (Augusta State) and Medical College of Georgia. He had offices in Augusta, Harlem and Washington GA. More recently, he moved to Alamo, GA to become part of Heartland Dental Corporation's family. He was working at Eastman Dental, Eastman GA. Dr. Owens loved helping and healing people. He always had a big smile and kind words for everyone he met. He was a devoted and loving husband, a beloved father, an excellent dentist and apassionate teacher. He will be missed by so many. Rest in peace now my sweet love! There will be a celebration of life at St. Bart's in North Augusta SC on November 11th, 2017 between 1 pm and 4 pm.
