Biography Dr. Delphine Anita Bozardt UMC Minister/Professor July 12, 1943-April 8, 2013 Augusta, Ga. entered into rest April 8, 2013 at her residence Dr. Delphine Anita Bozardt. Anita was a very gifted and talented Educator and Minister. Graduated from the University of Georgia with a Doctorate degree in Science and degrees in Education. An Ordained Methodist Minister. Served in the Georgia and S.C. conferences. Retired June 2011. Anita served in 1986 as an Ambassador to China for the U.S. government, touring interior of China for two weeks. Set up programs of Education in Katmandu, Nepal for the United States in three Universities. A member of National Science Teachers since 1965. Listed in "World who's Who of Women in Education in 1977". The league of Women Voters and American Association of University Women. Anita is survived by sisters, Carolyn B. Evans of Fayetteville, Ga. and Alice Evelyn Bozardt of Roswell, Ga. Her brothers George W. Bozardt, III and Dealie E. Bozardt preceded her death. Many nieces, nephews and cousins will miss her. Anita was a member Asbury United Methodist Church in Augusta, Ga. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday April 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery 100 Cherokee Road Florence, SC., 29501. Rev. Mark McClendon officiating. A memorial service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church on Sunday April 14, 2013 at 2:30 pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to Charity of choice.
