Dorothy W. Kitchens

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Kitchens of Anthony DeJuan Parkway in Hephzibah passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her residence.She was 83 years old. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 01, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 02, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.The committal service will follow in the family plot at Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her husband, Herman E. Kitchens, of Hephzibah; her daughter, Diane Lee and her husband Al, of Hephzibah; her sons, Charles Kitchens and his wife Linda, of Augusta, Tony Kitchens of Hephzibah, Mike Kitchens and his wife Betty of Detroit, Michigan, Randy Kitchens and his wife Shirley, of Evans; her sisters, Joan Groover, of Augusta, and Faye Lanier, of Statesboro; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kitchens was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church of Augusta. Pallbearers are Charles Kitchens II, David Kitchens, Randy Kitchens Jr., Patrick Groover, Mark Dengate, Al Lee, and Ed Groover.
