Mrs. Doris Evelyn Webb Cochell Augusta, Georgia Mrs. Doris Evelyn Webb Cochell of Augusta died March 10, 2009. She was 79 years old. The family will receive friends today, March 13, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, 706.798.8886. The funeral service will be conducted today, March 13, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Poteet Funeral Home. Rev. Carlos Quinones will officiate. The committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Doris Webb Cochell is survived by her sons, Rick and his wife Bonnie Webb, of Thomson, Mike and is wife Ginger Webb, of Augusta, Dennis Cochell, of Colorado; daughters, Barbara and her husband Kenneth Tyson, of Steinhatchee, Fl, Linda and her husband Tommy Seigler, of Greenville, SC, Joanne and her husband Larry Crowe, of Augusta, Frances Brown, of Woodstock, GA, Christi and her husband Kenneth Wilson, of Thomson, Denise and her husband Todd Brazell, of Johnston, SC, Lisa Cochell, of Johnston, SC; brother, J. E. Freeman; twenty-four grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Webb and the late Loren R. “Butch” Cochell. Mrs. Doris Webb Cochell was a lifetime member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church where she spent much of her time volunteering. She also volunteered with the American Legion and VFW in Texas and Colorado. The family requests that memorials be made to: the Alzheimer's Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904 or Odyssey Hospice, 3508 Professional Cir., Augusta, GA 30907.
