Mr. Dock A. Stripling Retired U.S. Army Grovetown, Ga., Born on July 19, 1918-March 1, 2014 in Rural South Georgia. Dock A. Stripling passed at age 95. He is preceded in death by his wife Juanita K. Stripling (Kitten-as she was known by Dock) and two sons, Dock Ernest and Jerry Wayne Stripling. He is survived by three sons, and their wives, Richard & Wanda, Eugene & Fran, and Eric & Jamie Stripling. Sixteen grandchildren; Donna, Russell, Ronnie, Barbara, Diane, Wayne, Mark, Freddie, Tim, David, Jon Eric, Shawn, Jessica, Micah, Jared, Shannon. Twenty-eight great grandchildren. Five great-great grandchildren. Daughter-in-laws: Marilyn Stripling, Amber Stripling, and Shirley S. Hardage. Dock served in the military for 31 years retiring in 1967 as Chief Warrant Officer Grade 4 and served another 13 years in Civil Service retiring July 31, 1980. He served in WWII, the Korean War, the Panama Up-Rising, and as Head of CID at FT Gordon. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Rev. Phillip Winsett officiating. Entombment to follow with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Golden Harvest Food Bank, 3010 Commerce Dr. August a, GA 30909-9906. Both Dock and Juanita was philanthropist, always finding ways to give back to their community. This was a favorite charity of theirs. Donations may be made to any other food bank of choice.
