Delores Ruth Daniels

Delores Ruth Daniels, went home to be with her lord on June 9th, 2011. She was 82 years old. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Gracewood United Methodist Church. Funeral will be on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 am at Gracewood United Methodist Church.Reverend Ron Fearneyhough officiating. Delores was born in Waukegan, Illinois on March 23, 1929 and was a survivor of the Great Depression.She graduated from San Diego High School in California in 1948. She was a member of Gracewood United Methodist Church where she started a food pantry in 1992. The food pantry still remains open with the help of church members and volunteers. She was the wife of the late Jesse Willard Daniels of Dillon, South Carolina and mother to Claudia J. Gibson (Chester) of Hephzibah, Georgia and Joni D. Bevel (Billie) of Lexington, South Carolina. Grandmother to Stephanie Smith (Donnie) of Hephzibah, Georgia; Annette Gibson of Grovetown, Georgia; Tamara Dayko of Charleston, South Carolina; Graeme Hurley, Julian Bevel (Stacey) and Jesse Bevel (Amanda) of Lexington, South Carolina. Great-grandmother to Sydney Danielle Gibson of Hephzibah, GA; Britany Bevel, Brianne Bevel and Aden Jacob Bevel all of Lexington, SC. Pallbearers will be Julian Bevel, Jesse Bevel, Gene Carpenter, Rex Nixon, Brandon Smith and Donnie Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chester Gibson, Graeme Hurley, Billy Bevel and Gary Cremer.
