Debra Lynn Carter Viator, 67, of Hephzibah, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Faircloth and Chaplain LTC Kyle Welch officiating. A native of Gulfport, Mississippi, she married Dwight Leo Viator and proudly became a military spouse, moving around as duty called, even as far as Germany. She was adventurous in life and enjoyed white water rafting, zip lining, and whatever adventure she could get the chance to encounter. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Leo Viator, Sr.; Children, Stacey M. (Courtland) Hooper, Sharon M. (Harry) Alderman, Dwight Leo (Jody) Viator, Jr., and Stephen Viator; Grandchildren, Megan Viator, Michael Viator, Anthony Reza Viator, Morgan Hooper, Ashlee Viator, Alex Black, Allyson Weagle, Bryce Viator, Dwight L. Viator, III, James Williams, Katelynn Williams, Kayla Williams, Ashlyn Miles, and Glenn Miles; Great grandchildren, Charlotte Williams, Brett Williams, and Alex D. Black, Jr.; Sister, Regina Hulbert. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia.
