Debra Kay Akin Barwick, 65, entered into rest February 18, 2023, wife of 37 years to Charles Glen Barwick.
Born April 19, 1957, to the late Fred and Christine Irby Akin in Okinawa, Japan, she spent most of her life in Augusta, Georgia, she was a Business Owner of Barwick Transportation, she was an Assembly of God faith.
Additional survivors include her sons, Terry Barwick (Christina); Marvin Mangham, III; daughter, Tabetha Weirich (Scott); brother, Jerry Akin; sisters, Cynthia Martin (Kenneth); Julie Roberts; Yvonne McDonald (Ricky); grandchildren, Alexandria Seigler, Hunter Crosson, Clayton & Emma Mangham, Alden Barwick, Reagan Benton and Ethan Harley, great granddaughter, Ava Joy Crosson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm at McNeill Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Farmer officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearer's will be Tommy Green, Joseph McDonald, Michael Whitfield, III, Ethan Harley, Adam Rodriguez, Dillan Key, Alden Barwick, Clayton Mangham.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
