Lynn was born on March 22, 1951 in Clayton Georgia to Susan Barnes Hicks and John Carl (J.C.) Hicks but she lived around Augusta GA most of her life graduating from Butler High School in 1969. With a life-long love of singing, she provided years of entertainment in her 30’s as the lead vocalist in a local band, sang in her church choirs along the way, and blessed her family with her voice throughout the years. With her leadership and people skills, Lynn’s work career spanned many businesses which included serving as VP at Augusta Federal Savings and Loan Bank, working at Connie Vance Advertising, assisting with the Columbia County Newspaper and eventually becoming the manager of Regency Mall in the early 90’s. Lynn also worked on the census in 2000 and 2010. Lynn spent many years enjoying the lake life at Clarks Hill Lake with good books and her many fur babies. She then dedicated herself to one of her most important missions, raising her granddaughter. Her love for her family was immense and her outstanding red velvet cake and banana pudding will be missed during the family holidays and gatherings. As a devout Christian, Lynn immersed herself in serving the Lord at Sharon Baptist Church, singing in the choir, serving on mission trips, leading and participating in Bible study, and working on the Hayride through the Life of Christ. She also enjoyed trips and events with her Red Hat Society lady friends.
